Seeking Trainers

We are launching a workplace ‘lunch and learn’ training programme on face equality.

The training sessions will share insights into what it’s like to live and work with a facial difference – including both what we know from research, community experiences and personal accounts – and ideas about how employers and colleagues can create appearance-inclusive workplaces.

We are looking for self-employed consultant trainers to deliver these sessions. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with past or present lived experience of facial difference, broadly construed (i.e. any condition or injury which affects appearance from the neck upwards) and from allies of the facial difference community. Previous experience as a trainer or public speaker is essential, as is a passion for building inclusive workplaces and an ability to lead interactive sessions sensitively and engagingly.

Sessions are likely to be around 1.5 hours long. Some may be in person in various locations across the UK, others may be online. The fee per session will vary according to duration and location, but will be a maximum of £500 plus VAT (if applicable) for an in-person session. Trainers will be responsible for their own travel costs and insurance.

If you are interested, we would love to hear from you. If possible, please send the following expression of interest to [email protected] by midnight on Sunday 5th January 2025:

To receive this information or submit an expression of interest in an alternative format (such as large print or Braille), please contact us at [email protected]. Face Equality International is an equal opportunities organisation.
